Comstock (NYSE:LODE) +8.9% post-market after saying Monday it filed for a new patent to produce renewable diesel, marine, sustainable aviation fuel and gasoline from wood biomass, “at dramatically improved yield, efficiency and cost in comparison to all known methods.”

Comstock (LODE) said its plans to decarbonize with renewable fuels “involves abundant feedstocks that are not used today, enabling a vast untapped energy source with superior benefits.”

Based on current performance data, the company projects fuel yields exceeding 80 gal/dry ton with lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions reductions of more than 80% compared with petroleum.

In its latest quarterly report, Comstock (LODE) posted a Q1 GAAP loss of $0.09/share and negligible revenues.
