CoverGo Bupa

Bupa takes a no-code approach to transform the consumer experience of its health insurance ecosystem in Hong Kong through its newfound partnership with CoverGo

Bupa has selected CoverGo as its new health insurance system. Singapore-headquartered CoverGo is a no-code insurance software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform for health, property and casualty and life.

Bupa made the selection to accelerate customer onboarding, launch more customised products and increase sales through new channels. The overarching ambition of the partnership is to improve the user experience for all health insurance stakeholders.

CoverGo’s no-code product builder is enabling Bupa to create various individual and group health insurance products without code.

This approach will allow Bupa to meet customer requirements through a wider range of products. These products are accessible through CoverGo’s open insurance APIs and are available via agency, broker and partner channels for both new business and renewals.

Setting the foundations

Bupa also chose CoverGo as a partner to set the right foundation for future improvements in its ecosystem. The CoverGo platform’s modular architecture offers flexibility for insurers to gain quick wins that can be integrated within existing systems.

The platform allows scalability into a full-fledged core health insurance system. This system can cover policy administration, claims, distribution, member movements and provider management.

Yuman Chan, GM of Bupa (Asia), recognises the creation of “frictionless care pathways” in Bupa’s adoption of CoverGo.

“Delivering a digitally enhanced and connected journey futureproofs our business and provides an exceptional experience for our customers,” continues Chan.

“Innovative healthcare is about finding new ways to care for people, so it’s easier right from enrolment to claims settlement.”

Tomas Holub, founder and CEO, CoverGo

For Tomas Holub, founder and CEO of CoverGo, Bupa has shown a “clear commitment to digitising and streamlining its health insurance ecosystem” using CoverGo’s no-code insurance platform.

According to Holub, this validates CoverGo’s health insurance capabilities as it joins health insurers worldwide in the adoption of the CoverGo platform.

“We look forward to growing our collaboration with Bupa across many products and markets,” Holub concludes.
