Arena Group chairman and CEO Ross Levinsohn has been fired “after ongoing fallout over its use of artificial intelligence on the site,” reports Yahoo.

Levinsohn wrote on LinkedIn:

“After 4 1/2 years, today is my last day at The Arena Group. Following our majority sale announced last month, the company is positioned well for the future. Thank you to all of you. Excited for what the future will bring and so grateful for the experience of running and building a public company with such success.”

He did not mention the AI issue in his LinkedIn post.

Previously, he was on the board of directors at Tribune Company. He also oversaw digital operations for Tribune Publishing and served as CEO and publisher of the Los Angeles Times.

He also held the posts of interim CEO and head of global media at Yahoo, and worked at CBS Sportsline.

Levinsohn has a B.A. in communications from American University.
