Veteran’s Day is right around the corner on Saturday, November 11th. To honor those who served, many restaurants and stores offer special Veteran’s Day deals and freebies. We’ve rounded up the best offers for veterans and service members below to help you enjoy the holiday. Keep in mind that you’ll usually have to show a military ID or proof of service to redeem these deals. 

Best Veteran’s Day Deals and Freebies at Restaurants

Applebee’s 

For the 16th consecutive year, Applebee’s is offering a complimentary entree to veterans, active duty military, National Guard, and reserve members. To date, the popular restaurant chain has served more than 11 million free meals to veterans and military service members on Veteran’s Day. 

The freebie is only available when you dine in at your local Applebee’s on November 11th. You’ll get to choose your free meal from a special menu, which features favorites like a six-ounce top sirloin, a classic bacon cheeseburger, and double crunch shrimp. 

You’ll also get a $5 bounce-back card that can be redeemed when dining in or getting takeout or delivery. But keep in mind that you have to use it within three weeks. 

Bruegger’s Bagels 

Start your morning off right with this Veteran’s Day offer from Bruegger’s Bagels! On November 11th, veterans and active duty military can get a complimentary hot or iced coffee of any size with an in-store purchase. 

Starbucks 

Another place you can get your caffeine fix on Veteran’s Day is Starbucks. The chain is honoring veterans, military service members, and military spouses with a free tall hot, or iced coffee at participating locations on November 11th. 

Dunkin’ 

Dunkin’ is offering one of the best deals and freebies for Veteran’s Day this year. They’ll be giving out a free donut to active duty military and veterans on November 11th. 

Joe’s Crab Shack 

To honor those who served, Joe’s Crab Shack is offering veterans 20% off their meal when they dine in on November 11th from 11 AM to 3 PM. The discount is valid for parties of up to four, but keep in mind that it doesn’t apply to alcoholic beverages. Don’t forget to bring your military ID, which you’ll need to redeem the offer. 

Chili’s 

To thank them for their service, Chili’s is offering veterans and service members a free meal from a special menu, which includes four choices:

  • A cheeseburger 
  • Chicken bacon ranch quesadillas 
  • Three-piece chicken tenders with fries 
  • Chili or soup with a side salad 

The deal is available when you dine in on November 11th and present a valid military ID. 

Outback Steakhouse 

Head to Outback Steakhouse this Veteran’s Day to get a free Bloomin’ Onion appetizer and beverage when you dine in and purchase an entree. You’ll also get a $10 off coupon for a future visit. 

Hooters 

Another place to get a free meal on the holiday is Hooters. When dining in, veterans and service members can choose a complimentary entree from a special menu that includes: 

  • 10-piece boneless wings 
  • Buffalo chicken sandwich 
  • Grilled chicken sandwich 
  • Buffalo chicken salad 
  • Hooters burger 

Retail Veteran’s Day Deals and Freebies 

Sports Clips 

Want to update your hairstyle? Participating Sports Clips locations are giving free haircuts to veterans and active duty service members on Veteran’s Day. 

Target 

For the 7th consecutive year, Target is giving veterans, service members, and their spouses and children a special discount. You can get 10% off two separate purchases between now and November 11th. 

The offer is valid both in-store and online. Plus, it can be stacked with Target’s Black Friday and Deal of the Day discounts, allowing you to maximize your savings. Before you can redeem your offer, you’ll have to join Target Circle and verify your military status. 

Office Depot and OfficeMax 

Veterans, active duty military, and reservists can get 25% off qualifying purchases at Office Depot and OfficeMax this Veteran’s Day. The discount runs from November 11-13 and applies to both regular and sale items. However, there are some exclusions like technology, and the deal is only available in-store. 

Hy-Vee 

Veterans and service members can get a free breakfast and a discount on groceries at Hy-Vee. On Friday, November 10th, swing by for a complimentary dine-in breakfast from 6 AM to 10 AM. Then grab some groceries for 15% off. The grocery discount is available both in-store and online, but is only valid on November 10th. 

Rite Aid 

Last but not least, Rite Aid is offering one of the best retail deals and freebies for Veteran’s Day. From November 10th to 12th, you’ll receive 15% off regular-priced items. Keep in mind that you must be a member of Rite Aid Rewards and show proof of service.
