Tesla Unveils Price Of Upgraded Model 3 In China - Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA)

EV giant Tesla Inc TSLA has officially launched the refreshed all-new Model 3 with a longer range across geographies while also revealing prices in China.

Prices In China: The refreshed Model 3 rear-wheel drive is priced at 259,900 yuan (nearly $35,769) in China, 12% higher than the former Model 3 vehicle priced at 231,900 yuan (approximately $31,915). Deliveries are expected to start in the fourth quarter.

The website also shows a long battery life updated version priced at 295,900 yuan ($40,723).

Why It Matters: The new Model 3 has a greater range of up to 629km on a single charge, LED lighting in the interiors, a rear touchscreen, and a better sound system. It also comes in two new colors ultra red and stealth grey.

The refreshed version of the cheapest car in Tesla’s lineup is presently available in China’s Mainland, Japan, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the Middle East. The details of when the vehicle would be unveiled in the U.S. are unclear at the time of publication.
