Revolut Shops

Revolut has launched its new ‘Shops’ service in Ireland; a consumer loyalty scheme that will reward the app’s two million Irish customers with three per cent cashback on purchases.

The ‘Shops’ service allows the app’s users to search and browse products from brands including Amazon, Nike and JD Sports; among others.

Following purchases made from these brands, the service then rewards users with three per cent cashback at the checkout, so long as the entire transaction is facilitated through the Revolut app.

The automatic application of rewards at the checkout is reportedly much faster than other similar schemes, and will no doubt come to the advantage of shoppers on the eve of the Christmas shopping period.

The service works in conjunction with other discounts and savings, giving the app’s customers a double advantage on discounted purchases.

Speaking on the launch of the service in Ireland, Revolut’s general manager of lifestyle products, Christopher Guttridge comments: “As the cost of living rises, we are delivering ongoing product innovations aimed at meeting our customers’ everyday financial needs and aspirations, whilst giving them more financial control.”

“Shops helps our customers get the most out of every penny with cashback rewards, or helps them spread the cost of purchases for more expensive periods of the year, such as the Christmas holidays,” he continued.

Users also have an option to split their payment using the app’s ‘pay later’ service, being the first pay later product in Ireland that uses an approved credit limit with a specific focus on affordability.

Eligible customers can use the pay later service to fund purchases up to a maximum of €499.
