Meta Options Traders Betting On Stock Jumping At Least This Much By March Expiration

Meta Platforms, Inc. META is all set to report its latest quarterly earnings after the closing bell on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023. Analysts expect the company to report quarterly earnings at $2.22 per share on revenue of $31.53 billion.

On CNBC’s “Options Action,” Mike Khouw of Optimize Advisors said options markets are implying a move of much larger than 10% by the end of the week.

There were 1.5x more calls than puts on Tuesday, Khouw said.

There was a buyer of 1,700 of the March 160/196.5 calls at an average price of $3.90 per contract, Khouw mentioned.

The trader expects Meta’s stock to rise at least 13% by March expiration.

Price Action: Shares of Meta rose 1.3% to close at $148.97 on Tuesday, and lost 1.3% in the after-hours trading session.
