LA Times hires Blakely as deputy biz editor

The Los Angeles Times has hired Lindsay Blakely to be deputy business editor.

Blakely is currently Inc.com’s managing editor. She also serves as Inc. magazine’s Los Angeles bureau chief, keeping tabs on up-and-coming startups and the fastest-growing companies in the U.S. that call the city home.

She’s written cover stories on Jessica Alba, Drybar’s Alli Webb, and Dollar Shave Club’s Michael Dubin, among other noteworthy entrepreneurs.

Prior to joining Inc., Blakely held editorial roles at CBS Interactive and Time Inc.

She holds degrees from Boston College and Northwestern University.
