Digital asset service provider Flowdesk has cemented its expansion into Asia Pacific with the appointment of a new APAC CEO in its recently opened office in Singapore.

David Bachelier, a fintech founder and experienced trader, takes on the CEO role alongside Wei Fei, a former finance director at Bybit Global and deputy at Bitmain, who is named Flowdesk’s new CFO in APAC.

Flowdesk CEO Guilhem Chaumont described the company’s expansion into APAC as an ‘important milestone’ and said the company was ‘excited to help the region’s crypto sector grow sustainably’.

Countless investors and token issuers hit obstacles involving compliance and getting their tokens to market,” says Chaumont. “Bottom line, we’re here to help keep the wheels turning, and make normally cumbersome processes seamless.

“The opening of our second office will provide global time-zone coverage and gets us in one of the fastest growing regions for cryptocurrency adoption. We are also taking this opportunity to get regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and provide a broader range of compliant financial services.”

Flowdesk, the originator of a trading infrastructure that allows interconnection with more than 70 cryptocurrency exchange platforms, has grown its revenue by 350 per cent since August 2021. In June 2022, it secured a $30million Series A from investors including Eurazeo, Aglaé Ventures, ISAI, Speedinvest, Fabric.vc, Ledger and Coinbase

The company, which has offices in Paris and Singapore, offers four types of services: asset management, brokerage, custody and market-making.
