Fintech Surge 2022, the MENA region’s leading finance and innovation conference, is back this October. The event will host innovators across digital banking, paytech, insurtech, regtech as well as wealth and asset management at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Taking place from 10 to 13 October 2022, Fintech Surge will cover significant gaps in current local and regional events, to position itself as the go-to fintech sourcing and networking platform in the region.
Part of tech and startup event GITEX Global 2022, the four-day Fintech Surge is considered a prime destination for fintech entrepreneurs, innovators, investors, regulators. It aims to accelerate growth in the MENA region.
The UAE is currently home to 24 per cent of all fintechs in the region – accounting for 41 per cent of the MENA region’s $864million startup funding in the first quarter of 2021.
More than 100 speakers from global regulators, financial institutions and unicorns will discuss redefining fintech strategy in the region. Confirmed speakers include Renier Lemmens, group CEO at Geidea, Amnah Ajmal, executive vice president, market development, EEMEA, Mastercard, Arik Shtilman, CEO & co-founder, Rapyd and Rushikant Shastri, VP technology, State Bank of India.
Day four of the event will also play host to the North Star Dubai Supernova Challenge, a huge pitch competition in the region offering startups the opportunity to pitch to an audience of global investors and earn potentially transformative capital.
There’s also the Digital Finance Summit and the CX Forum, which will explore the future of customer experience, as well as expert-led workshops on opportunities in Web3, the metaverse and ESG initiatives.
