Elon Musk Issues Grim Outlook On X, Shares 'Sad Truth' About Social Media Platforms

Social media platform X’s head Elon Musk says there are no great “social networks” anymore.

In a cryptic post on X on Saturday, Musk hinted that the social media platform, formerly known as Twitter, might fail as many had predicted.

Last week, the billionaire entrepreneur said he would eliminate a safety feature on the platform, explaining that X users would no longer be able to block unwanted comments from followers unless they were direct messages.

Multiple allegations have emerged against X, suggesting the platform intentionally restricted traffic to websites that faced Musk’s criticism.

Users reported experiencing reduced loading speeds when accessing content from various websites, including The New York Times, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky, Reuters and Substack.
