Richard Abbey has joined Bloomberg Opinion as a reporter.
He will work with senior editor John Authers on his “Points of Return” newsletter.
Abbey previously was a commodities reporter covering agriculture and metals industries for Bloomberg, which he joined after completing his master’s degree in data journalism at Columbia University.
He previously was a business journalist in Ghana, whee he worked at the Business and Financial Times and Citi FM, some of the biggest media organizations in the West African country. He covered Ghana’s Eurobond issues, an economic bailout program from the International Monetary Fund, and a central bank-led financial sector restructuring.
